Begging a Source of Handsome income

I was studying in Sukkur IBA at weekends I used to go to my home my hometown is thari mirwah about 45 km away from sukkur. My van runs from Sukkur to Khairpur mirs to Thari mirwah, van use to stay for 10 to 15 mins at Khairpur. It was my first time  I was going to my home after admission, as van stopped at Khairpur stop a man aged about 50 came to van door and started telling his story “ I used to run my fruit thelha but unfortunately a week ago I had an accident and I lost my thelha and hands got fractured” he was holding his hands upward rounded fingers and unable to move them. It was moment of sadness for me as I was thinking how he poor can run his home now. So I gave him 20 rs and everyone was watching me, I was thing how stone hearted these people are, they themselves are not helping this poor man but as I am how they are watching to me. I was quite satisfied by helping him. I reached at home and thinking about the poor man I was having some sought of unconsciousness that how that poor person will managed his house expenses. Then I thought to help him, I discussed with my father that can we help him? A new thelha may maximum cost under RS 10k so can’t we buy a new for him?. My father said me OK, find him next week we will try to help him. Now I was waiting for next weekend to come so I can discuss with him and can take out any solution. Finally it was Saturday and it was my last class which ends at 2;20 pm, as class ended I rushed to my hostel and took my bag and went to stop of my van, waiting for the van, and waiting for van to start running it was so hard for me to wait. After 30 min running van reached at Khairpur stop and I started searching for that poor guy. And it was the time when I heard the same statement “ I used to run my fruit thelha but unfortunately a week ago I had an accident and I lost my thelha and hands got fractured” I saw him his hands were in the same position, OMG I don’t know how it was that moment. I was thinking my complete last week was fooled by this person. I said him “ Sharam natho ache awhan khe ehraa koor galhainde” as he watched me he changed the van.
A man newly got married with his lovely girlfriend, later he came know that She has many other friends with whom she has contacts and she use to meet with them. Her husband said his bride to stop meeting with others then his bride said I will stop but on one condition, her husband asked what is that?, She said him to start begging in the street for fifteen days, on your fifteenth day I will do as you order. Her husband thought it’s all right, there is only way to bring my wife to right path so I will do so. He started begging, and on fifteenth day as he came to house her wife said him congratulation to complete the target and said now I am stopping meeting with my friends, her husband replied go and make thousand more friends now I cannot stop begging.
Begging is the only way in which there is 100% profit and 0% loss and it is for sure. To start begging you have just to kill your (zameer) conscience which is somehow hard but is once after that its so easy. For the beggars there is no any expense, from food to their cloths they beg from the people. I am somehow kind hearted so my friends use to say me I am fool and I think they are true, many of the beggars made me fool, by the way they may be having lot of experience and ways to make people fool. In the last November I with my friends were sitting in the Central Canteen Park at University Of Sindh Jamshoro. There I saw a young guy holding  a file was sleeping in the park, I was watching him continuously which he noticed then he came nearer to me asked me to buy a half cup of tea for him, I did so. After finishing his tea he started telling his story “ I was upper cleric at University of Sindh, but my officer  replaced me with officer’s own nephew , so I have filled a case against him. In the cases all of my money is ended and due to my job loss my mother went in to depression and died as I was only in the house that had job, which I have lost. Now a days I am trying to gather some rupees so I can start book binding which I know, you are requested to help me” I was persuade by him too. I asked how much it costs to start book binding business?  He said about one thousand rs. Then I started bargaining “ I am a student I don’t have that much amount but I want to help you” he said “Sain it’s ok you help me as you can I will manage” I was having 500 all I gave him. That day was awesome for me, I was feeling satisfied that have helped someone. After some days our hostel’s gate knocked, hostel guard opened door I was standing inside. As guard opened the door he said “Baba Maaf kr” then outside standing beggar said please listen to me. Then beggar started telling his problem “I was upper cleric at University of Sindh, but my officer replaced me with officer’s own nephew, so I have filled a case against him. In the cases all of my money is ended and due to my job loss my mother went in to depression and died as I was only in the house that had job, which I have lost. Now days I am trying to gather some rupees so I can start book binding which I know, you are requested to help me” . it was another tragedy happened with me I was shocked and full of anger. I went out and said him do you know me? He said “ yes sir how can I forget you you are such an angel for me” again he was trying to hunt me.  I said guard to through him out of the society, at that time it was only thing that I could do for him.

According to investigation, begging is an organized crime in Pakistan and, according to contemporary estimates, there are between two and twenty-five million beggars in Pakistan. There are several causes of begging that allow people to beg.
The baggers are actually being a great burden on our society. Not every bagger is needy but mostly lazy people start begging who want go away from hardworking. To make such persons useful government should increase the job opportunities and start rehabilitation centers for baggers in which they should be treated mentally bring them on right track.
