Damaged Fashion clothes in Pakistan
"A wise friend once told me,'Don't wear what fashion designers tells you to wear.Wear what they wear." Tina Fay

Old looking,muddy,Ripped,torn-up,Shashing threads pants on display, discoloured T-shirts with holes , It looks like fashion designers are out of money ,or the fashion industries are took over by beggars or Pakistani youngsters have little or no interest left in their traditional clothes now and it feels like their is a competition going on between them as this fashion of damaged clothes is getting more and more strange day by day.
last week when I received my pocket money I thought of buying some new pants and shirts for me so I went to buy some with my friend Talha. It was like a flood of these damaged(ripped,muddy,torn-up,Shashing threads) clothes which has affected the garment markets of Pakistan .I imagined myself how exactly I would be looking after wearing such pants which were torn-up from knees or shashing threads from thighs or ripped from thighs .I was with my friends and we entered at one of the most famous international clothing brand's outlet at Auto bhan and all the wearing stuff was surprising & awful  .After looking all the stuff at display I asked the shop keeper if there is any simple and decent looking jeans pants of my size rather than all this strange beggar stuff .He laughed at me and said me ," Sir this is the fashion today, These damaged clothes are nowadays most demanded clothes in market as people specially youngsters prefer to buy this stuff as they feel themselves comfortable and confident in this and most of the time parents are also happy with such dressing for their children, and thing that you're looking for is hard to find ,market these days and even if you'll find it wouldn't be in good quality and you should look this stuff for you too as this isn't as bad as you're thinking of this".As I wasn't ready to buy such stuff but when I saw their price tags they were starting from $15 Rs to $265 and some of the imported goods were even more expensive which made me to leave without asking anything further .I was wondering that how people buy these things by paying such big prices After leaving the store I said to my friend that ," They're making people fool in the name of Fashion just to earn profit and he said me," It seems that people are more interested in buying such stuff rather than their traditional clothes or eastern clothing, didn't you saw the market was full of these clothes even in a city like Hyderabad where there are people with different mindsets either it be religious or evil mind , girls are tranforming their traditional dresses into these strange western dressings and in result some evil people put their bad eyes in those girls and crime rate increases. We walked half a mile and stores were full with these clothes but not the thing I was looking for. There are jeans that look like they’ve been run over by a lawnmower,T-shirts that look like they’ve had a packet of cigarettes put out on them and hoodies that look they’ve been nibbled by a rabbit and many strange clothes were being sold in the name of fashion trends .Soon after leaving that market I went to another  clothes/garment market and same was the condition I found at Auto bhan but after visiting few shops I got what I was looking for and it was of good quality too .I remember the person who said me to look for those damaged clothes too was wrong like he said that, it is hard to find such thing now,or quality would not be good even if you'll find out that thing it was like he was trying to convince me to buy that  ripped pants from his shop and it felt like it is not only the western culture taking over our traditional dressing but the garments seller were also involved in this and there I find many new clothing brands in  which they  has reintroduced traditional clothes in Pakistan with a blend of modernism, which hai made people attract toward modified Eastern ensembles .

Damaged clothes fashion in Pakistan
"Fashion is not about clothes, it is about a look"
In our society there are people who don't have enough money to wear good clothes or to get a good look and you'll also find people who has  enough money to buy stressed and damaged (Ripped, shashing threads, torn up) clothes to wear and they feel themselves comfortable & confident in those damaged clothes.yes ! this is true don't know how, why, but majority of people mostly youngsters are expending most of the money on these damaged clothes as a fashion follower.
"Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society". -Mark Twain
People follow their favourite film superstars/actors.They  copy them in dressing; what they wear, things they do, their actions etc .and these clothes market have caught their weakness and are now earning double profit. There are jeans that look like they’ve been run over by a lawnmower,T-shirts that look likethey’ve had a packet of cigarettes put out on them and hoodies that look they’ve been nibbled by a rabbit. Let's talk about this fashion which is trending not only in western countries but in our country too.
This fashion of damaged clothes in Pakistan has arose from early  21th century and is most demanded till date.It is disliked by many old people, parents but youngsters are not likely to listen to them. When I asked  a parent about this fashion he said that "we give money to our children to buy and wear good dresses but their wardrobes are full of these damaged and strange pants and shirts".Youngsters today argue that we must learn to go with the flow and therefore taking up new trends is a better option.
These damaged clothes are nowadays most demanded clothes in market as youngster are more interested in buying such type of clothes rather than their traditional clothes . These damaged pants and shirts are sold at various prices starting from 1,000 to 15k or more depending upon the name of the brand and Imported brands are even more expensive. So it takes a lot for an item of distressed clothing to make the internet prick its collective ears up.Recently,a pair of Maison Margiela trainers complete with "heavy disressing"-read multiple rips and tears-on sale for $1,425,did just that.Twitter howled with dirision. Before them came a pair of jeans from New York based luxury denim brand PRPS,complete with a "caked-on muddy coating"and a $425 price tag.
I remember when I was playing a street cricket match and i fell down and my pants were damaged and I said that shit ! this pants is of no use now and one of my friends said me that "This is fashion ! man you can wear this without any problem".This  fashion can be followed by people of any class either be it a rich person or a poor or middle class if he or she  wants to follow he just have to  tear his/her pants from his knees,or ripping his/her jeans from thighs or get his pants accidentally damaged.
Traditional clothes on the other hand, represent our culture and identity. It is necessary to hold on to them if we wish to preserve our traditions. If we are not going to promote our customs then nobody will, and it is likely that it will become extinct. People who go abroad tend to adapt western trends prevailing there, forgetting their national identity and traditions. However, they should keep in mind that their identity is represented by the way they dress.Further more, people wearing their national dresses symbolise unity.A research conducted on this subject showed that youngsters wearing traditional clothes, irrespective of western pressure, had fewer behavioural and emotional problems. The reason being that they are in touch with their ancestral culture, religion and traditions and thus not confused about their identity or who they are!
I personally believe that we should keep a balance in all things and hence, it is inappropriate for one to completely set aside their traditional clothes and become a follower of western trend, or vice versa. We can still follow western trends but we should not get ourselves confused between our traditionalclothes and western trends.
