Fake Love trend in Pakistan.
Emotions of love are of course a very natural and important part of life.
But it is the ideas of what love is and should be that vary in large
degrees. These ideas, which begin shaping us from a very young age, are
crucial to how we approach future intimate relationships. How were
your images of love and romance were formed? When love is modeled
in an unhealthy, impractical way it is misguided and will result in
unrealistic expectations and ultimately unhappy relationships.
Fake love trend is one of the major issues rising day by day specially in
youth of Pakistan. It happens when people find themselves addicted to
someone's affection and they feel like they are meant to be together,
that they love each other, or he/she is the only one, he/she is different
than other guys. This is the situation when they get involved in each
other and after some time at some place they feel like they were wrong
about it. This was not to be done, their affection is a lie, or it has faded
away. This is when they try to get rid of that person through different
ways be it blackmailing or lying or ignoring. This trend is specially
distracting the youth of Pakistan from their education, ambitions.

youth is one of the major pillars of a country which can lead a country
to its development and prosperity. Youth are the period between
childhood and adulthood. The vision of our Pakistan lies in the hands of
our youth as they are full of great potential and tremendous and high
ambitions, but it seems youth of Pakistan is busy destructing
themselves mostly in drugs and fake love trend.
Pakistan is one of those top listed countries which has a great number
of self-destructing youths involved in this fake love trend. In my opinion
there are few main causes of this self-destruction among youth. The
most important cause of this issue is irresponsible parents who do not
watch their kids on daily basis, their activities in their daily lives, today
access to internet is very much easy as every person has at least one
smartphone through which they are getting easy access to different
websites on internet or irregular content when offline. Nowadays there
are many vulgar ads on almost every website either be it an online
gaming website for kids or informative website for students. With a
single click of mouse, those ads lead these kids to different adult
content through internet easily on smartphones and computers.
Second main cause is the free and negative use of social media sites like
Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp etc. Free access to these social media
sites makes it easier for youth to make new and unknown
friends\partners intentionally or un-intentionally and little affection
among them make them fall in fake love.
In our country there are many television programs, drama serials,
morning shows, talk shows promoting this trend of fake love through
different ways just to earn their profit and after this youth starts
implementing those things in their personal lives which were injected in
their minds through those programs and after this they get themselves
seriously involved in such activities which are meant to destruct their
lives . In early times there were different programs schedules
broadcasting at different timings and content for kids and adult was
also different and limited through which people were entertained with
their desirable content and at that time it was also helpful for parents
to look after their children on their programs at some specific timings
but now it is totally opposite of that. As there is no specific timings and
limitation of content for kids and adult programs set by the authorities
and as parents do not look after their children, these kids watch many
irrelevant programs which are not designed and marketed for them.
Although the kid’s programs are not same as compare to early times. If
we compare, the kids’ content being broadcasted today with the old
times we will found many differences and limitations in the content
shown in early times. Now there are many vulgar scenes shown in
animated cartoons and movies and programs for youth and kids and
they get curious to learn things which are not meant to be learned at
their ages. These are some of the major problems leading the youth
and kids to destruction in their early ages.
There are many reports related to this issue in which FIA has arrested a
big number of men in the FIA’s Cyber Crime Cell in Pakistan for
harassing and blackmailing girls and women through their photos and
videos recorder through hidden cameras installed at their homes.
The cyber-crime cell later helps the victims and deletes the pictures the
men uses to blackmail the women. Many girls have stopped going to
schools/colleges due to the shame or getting blackmailed. Those
victims said that their education and their lives are destroyed because
of those people.
In Karachi, the Federal investigation Authority (FIA) released the
performance report of the first quarter of 2018 which showed women
as victims in 90% of the cases reported to the cyber-crime circle in
Lahore. It also reflected that most of these 90% of the cases are
originated from Facebook. According to the report there were about
1,037 inquiries registered and a total of 1,716 cases carried from the
last quarter of 2017. Many of the complaints were from women and
minor girls.
FIA's sole cyber-crime circle in Punjab Director Khalid Anis told the
Express Tribune that the numbers indicate that 70% of the case
received were related to Pornography content which was being used
for blackmailing.
Once the affection is over and lust is over they move on to the next
partner leaving the victim miserable and regretful and, in the end, bring
shame to their families and most of the time victims keep such things
within themselves and after getting tired from mentally torture they
commit suicide as they can't do anything else.
Iqrar Ul hassan a television presenter and journalist in his program "Sar
e Aam" said that they receive hundreds of these complaints weekly in
which girls are involved in this fake love game and in the end, they are
left by their fake partners and these girls are regretful later, and most
of the times their boyfriends blackmail them on everything and every
time. He advised youth to stay away from this, don't believe your
partner is different from others even if he is different, he would never
ask you to do such things for him/her.
In my opinion this could be stopped if the parents and government of
Pakistan work together and fulfill their duties sincerely in this concern.
Parents should keep their eyes on their children activities specially
when they are on internet and cell phones. There are many apps on
mobile phones and software's for computers through which parents
can watch their kids’ activities through their own devices and there are
many extensions through which those adult content ads can get
blocked. They should involve their kids in healthy activities.
It would be a great loss of Pakistan if its youth are not given an
opportunity to exercise their talent in right/positive way. This beautiful
land need youth for our soil to become a brighter one.
