Illahi Bux Banbhan

A person from unprivileged background to the most prolific voice of his time

It is not rare to witness humans who make achievements for themselves but it's rare to find some whose efforts impart a radical effect on others’ lives in a highly positive manner. One such person goes by the name Illahi Bux Banbhan. He is a custodian of charismatic personality, friendly outlook and eloquent speech. His interests include writing poetry, travel and reading. He was born in 1960 in a small village Neerwaro in Khairpur district. He travelled long distances routinely on foot in his early school life. His own affinity and interest towards reading paved way for his future achievements. He received his B.A. Honors and then M.A. in IR from Shah Abdul Latif University where his spectrum of interest broadened to other subjects like Current Affairs, political engagements, literature, as well as fictional stories. He also engaged himself in writing articles on different social and political issues which were published in various newspapers of his contemporary time. He also wrote a book on short stories for children which was published in 1884 from Agam Public Agency, Hyderabad. His adequate involvement towards media and communication allowed him to search for opportunities in the field that supported his interest. Therefore he joined Radio Pakistan in November of 1983 as Producer. That’s when he started to professionally pursue media until his retirement in 2018. During his 35 year stint in Radio Pakistan he produced motivational, informative as well as entertaining programs that appealed to listeners of all ages. Some famous one's are sab rang, tarafi feature, hamare shehr, mazahiya feature, apni misaal aap, aik sawal aik hazaar jawab and geeton bhari kahaniyan. His work is remarkable and appreciated throughout Sindh. He loves white color, He reads Shah Abdul Latif, Amar Jalil, Mohan Kalpana and Shaikh Ayaz poetry.

Illahi Bux says, Life is not a bed of roses and dreams are a part of life as well, and to achieve those dreams in this thorny world one has to exercise patience, perseverance, sincerity and constant struggle. These are the fundamental variables in my experience, that ensure success.
