Interview of a social worker  Jatendar Dharani

Resident of a remote area diplo of deserted district tharparkar and he was born on April 10th 1994. He took his early education from private middle school Tharwelfare School diplo tharparkar and there after he took admission in a government high where he achieved a golden opportunity to visit fully funded US exchange programs which added a benchmark to his profile. Continuing same enthiuasim he remained a position holder and never paid fees since from primary education to high school studies being hardworking student.
He took admission in Mehran University of engineering and technology in electronics department where he also remained among the brightest students. Being part of different social welfare and professional organization he played a key role in working for humanity and being an example for betterment of society.
Q: When and where you started social working?
A: inspired by my dad, who never charged his patient with fees and was ready to serve humanity at any cost and time. This brought me motivation that I have to serve my community. Since after my dad’s death I promised myself I would continue the voluntarily practice in service of humanity so I can tribute my dad.
Q: what have you done for needy people and what have you think for them in future?
A:  For concern helping needy people, I always feel urged to bring the need of deeds to affected people. It includes major areas of social work like basic education, ending poverty, training youth for sustainable development goals etc.
Q: What have you done that people got opportunity by that?
A: though people know better than I would say something about this. But for intense majority of street child learnt about study so they can became a role model like me. Due my practice of sharing smiles may be few people might have learnt to stay happy to live healthy life.
Q: workers of NGO sector have finished their poverty but normal people are living the same life.
A: Normally people say you get the funding while working in NGO sector. But this is not real fact, majority of NGO don’t get even funding and they work for their own for sharing happiness and love. The example of such NGO is rotary and rotaract International. Which don’t have their funding but the members pay on their own with finance as well their precious moments in serving humanity.
Q: How was your experience?
A: Voluntarily working with NGO helped me to built confidence and developed me team management skills as well it added me professional experience. Normally it is seen majority of NGOs don’t work for humanity these days, they just do social service in return of name and fame. This is why our society is not progressing well.
Q: Do you think that our youth should join NGOs, what do you think about it?
A: yeah it would be beneficial for today’s youth o join NGO sector this not only boosts up their carrier perspective skills but it also add the stars in their life. They get motivated to work for social cause. And learn to spend moments with needy people to share happiness and bring solution to their problems.
Q: In which activities you are busy now days?
A: I have been involved in doing education, youth and women empowerment as well leveraging sustainable development goals activities so far. Now days I am working with an NGO named rotaract. Which aim at helping the one who are in need and it has main aim to eradicate polio.
Q: Do you know anything that by with our youth or our society got much benefits?
A: no I don’t know about that.
Q: what is your planning for future?
A: I wish to generate funds to build a cancer hospital where patients get needed treatment easily. This would be a tribute to my Dad.
